New Bad Dad webseries pilot now live

When it comes to my filmmaking roots one key point was to always write what you know.  That probably why SurfDonkey is building it success with each show. Sibilings, surfing and web video.  Yep, I know those.

Now as I always have several things in the development can, it’s time to pull the top off another series.  Born out of stinky diapers and temper tantrums (our’s) and extrapolated  from our own lives a good friend Michael Amo (professional screen writer and director) and I have unleashed the pilot episode of Bad Dad. Think of it as Entourage, plus 20 years and add kids.

Nothing explains things like the thing itself so watch it, have many chuckles (we did) and pass it around.

Note this may not be office or kid appropriate but is definitely Dad approved.

We also have a microsite at BadDad.tv to field comments, let us know your “Bad Dad” confession and a place to RSS link to for any news updates and episode releases.

YouTube (not so) Secrets

For all you coders and backend hackers who like to mod players and do all kind of fun stuff with APIs there are tons of things you can mess with at YouTube. It’s not secret stuff but there just seems to be more and more new options popping up at YouTube. What piqued my interest was the pre-built widgets and the chromeless player option, although I don’t mind the built-in one either.

It seems that Google is starting to focus some of it’s brainpower over at YouTube and I’d say, from a video content creator standpoint that this is a good thing.

They probably explain it the best so here is their own in-house video explaining it all. I assume not too many people know about it as this video only had 4878 views when I scooped it up. Maybe this post will change that a bit.
